No more crowds of people taking their tents and sleeping bags to camp for 3 days at the PLN office waiting to pay their bills (it used to be crazier than mealtime in a refuge for homeless crocodiles). No longer will you get approximated bills because the meter reader couldn’t get in.
No longer does some poor little PLN man have to come around to your house and brave the wrath of that ever so friendly, “wouldn’t hurt a fly” pit bull terrier to read your meter. PLN have also introduced prepaid “pulsa” meters, a move which has provided PLN with all sorts of benefits. Last issue we looked at the price of electricity and, as we said, over the past few years PLN have simplified their systems and the way they charge for electricity making bills far easier to understand.
